Scene 1: Cute guy = memory loss

Hey everybody! My name is Briana and I am your average 20 year old girl who has no idea where life is going to take her. Ok, maybe I am not average, more odd and unique (yea we will go with that.) And maybe I do know at least somewhat of where my life is going (or at least I hope so.)

While reading my blog there are a few things that you should know. I am horrible a grammar and spelling. I will try my hardest but I am sure that there will be spelling mistakes that even spell check can't make out. And I am almost positive I will miss 95% of commas. Also I believe in randomness, so my stories may go a little off track sometimes. I am not a professional and I am just doing this for the sake of entertainment so please don't correct me on my spelling and grammar especially not in a rude way. If you are one of those people whom it just drives them up the wall not to correct some grammatical error please just put me down easy.

Anyhow on to the story of the day!

We were in the V.A. a few weeks ago and I was off with money in hand to find some snacks and caffeine. I finally after wandering through the maze of hallways stumbled upon a coffee shop and some vending machines. The moment I walk in the door I notice two very handsome men behind the counter. Just my luck I get eye candy too! I approach the middle vending machine ready to get me a sugary, caffeinated beverage. I put my quarters in and choose my soda. The quarters come out and I don't get a soda. Eying this machine I put the quarters in again and choose my soda...yet again i receive the clickedy clank of change in the change dispenser and mind you I did put in correct change! I take a deep breath and try again because well I want my soda. Again I get the same devastating results.

Meanwhile behind me I am sure the "2 cute guys" were snickering at my insanity (the definition of insanity is attempting the same thing multiple time expecting different results.) The shorter one comes out from behind the counter and proceeds to tell me it sometimes needs to be kicked. I was like I am not kicking that thing. So what does he do? He turns around and back kicks the thing. And sure enough it finally gave me my soda.

To top off my failure at the soda machine the cutest of the two tells me before I walk out in shame that I have beautiful eyes. There I go sky high into the clouds of bliss! I don't think my feet touched the ground or the smile left my face all the way back to the waiting room.

Then get this we are sitting in the waiting room next to the glass that looks out into the hall way and in the midst of playing on my phone I look up at just the right time and who do I meet eyes with? Cute guy number #2 from the coffee shop! And beyond all of my hopes he stops takes and step back and smiles at me! I don't think the smile stopped till I laid my head on the pillow that night!

So on our next trip to the VA I am bound and determined to make a trip to the coffee shop to see the guy who thinks my eyes look like pools of crystal blue water (ok so I made that part up, but he could be thinking that!) Fate had another idea for our first encounter for the day. Out of all the doors going in and in out of the hospital guy #2 picks the same door out as we are going in! And when our eyes met again my heart stopped! And I knew he thought something too!

So what do I do? I march myself right down to the coffee shop after a quick stop at the mirror to check on "the eyes." A few steps before the coffee shop I start freaking out. I don't want to look like I am desperate right? So I pull out the money and my phone so I have something to do. Then I walk into the room and I catch his eyes which I think are equally handsome! And every thought that I ever had escaped me. In that moment I'm pretty sure if he asked me my name I wouldn't have known what it was! I forgot how to read the menu and how to order coffee!! I finally asked if they had any iced coffee he said yes and listed them and then instead of ordering a cold coffee I order a capachino which I don't even like mind you! Then as he begins to make it. Before he puts the froth in he asks me if I want to put sugar in it first. I stare at him like I don't speak English. I finally shake off my stupor and say yes go ahead. He goes "uhhh the sugar is over there" and points behind me. Again loosing all focus I look at him, look at the coffee, to the sugar, back to him, back to coffee, back to the sugar and then finally I take the cup and head over and put some sugar in the cup and hand it back. He tells me he puts extra "froth" in it and hands it back. Surprisingly I said thank you and took the coffee and the lid, because there was too much froth to put the lid on. Then come those words again. "Man, those eyes get me every time."  And with that like a little school girl I giggle and walk out of the room.

#This is why I am single.
