Every little girl dreams of knights in shiny armor and a happy ever after. Girls wonder if they will ever find their romeo or fly away with their peter pan. Dreams of a perfect fairy tale ending fill the corner of every paper they write in school. We fill are heads will all these happy ending we forget the rest of the story.
Cinderella was a slave to her evil step mother. Romeo and Juliet died. Peter Pan watched his love grow old while he stayed a child. Snow White had to live with 12 strange men. Rapunzel was trapped in a tower. Sleeping beauty was in a coma only to be awoken by a strange guy kissing her. (That's a classic case of Stockholm syndrome right there.)
So I have definitely come to the conclusion I DO NOT want a fairy tale and I am not going to eat apples from strange women. I don't want someone to come in riding on a horse I don't need someone to come save me.
But I also have learned that you don't get to your happy ending till you go through all the crap. You have to weed through all the bad apples, sleep off some heart breaks, go through 12 wrong ones, watch some be too immature while you grow up, see some die, get locked in your house for awhile, and do your chores before you ever find your happy ending. But hey that happy ending is still there right. So keep your chin up its coming!
